THE DIRECTOR’ S DESK
The year 2020-2021 has been an rather eventful year for us. We had many achievements and made progress on several fronts. The annual report covers these in detail. I wanted to focus a bit more on the role that TSF is playing during the current pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has created an unprecedented crisis for all of us. We are all living amidst extreme uncertainty that affects the poor and vulnerable population in Bihar the most. TSF has risen to the occasion and our teams have been deeply engaged in coordinating with our partners to reach out to migrant workers and needy population in Khagaria Patna, Purnia and Katihar district in Bihar. with the distribution of uncountable face mask, dry ration, sanitizers, prepared food packets, cloths, and social awareness activities. We are proud to see that needy people, district administration, and social organizations have acknowledged the work done by TSF during the crisis. We have continued with our different programs like child rights and protection, sponsorship and foster care, child marriage eradication, prevention of child trafficking, gender-based domestic violence, women empowerment and save environment including preserving pure natural water etc., and able to reach our direct and indirect stakeholders with great success and solidarity. As we are a learning organization and are constantly innovating based on experiences that are being generated in the field. We will hope to continue doing that. But all our accomplishments would not have been possible without the support and collaboration of our donors, partners, local administration, community members, and a highly dedicated TSF team and our volunteers. I pay my gratitude to them. Lastly, I look forward to renewing our commitment to work for the effective development of the poor and needy people of Bihar and rest part of India.
